Recycled Fishing Net Sponge.
Made from discarded fishing nets, a very resistant material that is supposed to persist in salty waters. If well maintained, it can last ten times longer than regular sponges.
They are hand-sewn by a group of women from a community in south Brazil, generating income and supporting local work, both for these women and the fishermen who sell the nets instead of discarding them in the ocean.
